Runner's Handbook

General

Check whether you are on the list of participants. This confirms that you are correctly registered. A medical certificate is not required. A few days before the race, you will receive an email telling you yout start number tp pick up your race number.

Bib collection

Individual registrations:

You will receive an email with your race number a few days before the race. When picking up your race number, you will need to present this email along with your ID. Your race number can also be picked up by a friend. This person must present your race number (which will be sent to you by email) and a copy of your ID.

Group registrations:

Bibs for group registrations will be issued in one package for the entire group – individual collection is not possible. (If you are registering through a group, for example, at your company, please contact the group organizer.)

ATTENTION: Please bring safety pins to secure your bib.

Change of Distance or Name

Changes can only be made on the day of bib collection on-site (BEFORE Sunday). Each change costs €3. If the race entry fee for the new category is higher, you will need to pay the difference. If it is lower, we will not be able to issue a refund.

IMPORTANT: On Sunday, no changes to bibs (distance, name, etc.) will be allowed.

Getting to the event

Public transport in Luxembourg is free. Make the most of it! Parking spaces in Remich village and along the Moselle are very limited!

Shuttle Bus: Stadtbredimus – Remich, Remich – Stadtbredimus | The shuttle bus stops at two different locations in Remich. Please walk to the start/finish area in Remich.

Bag Drop

A bag check will be available at the Village. IMPORTANT: Please use only the “Route du Vin” bag provided with your bib to store your personal items and clothing! We cannot accept other bags, items, or containers at the bag check. The organizers cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen items. Please make sure not to leave any valuables in your personal belongings.

Departure times

To ensure the smooth running of the race, we ask you to be in position no more than 15 minutes before the start, as there may be runners from the previous race on the same route still arriving at the finish line.

9:15 Half Marathon

Time Limits

Half Marathon: 2:30:00
10 km: 1:45:00
5 km: 0:45:00

Due to temporary road closures, we must enforce these time limits. If you exceed the time limit, we will ask you to remove your bib and carry it with you. You may continue to the finish line on the sidewalk, where you will still receive a medal.

ELITE Runners

Runners registered in the Elite category for the half marathon will start ahead of the main pack. They will receive bib numbers from 1 to X. They also have the option to submit their own drink bottles, which will be placed at our aid stations 30 minutes before the start.

Thank you for being available for the award ceremony after the race (see details below).

Refreshment stations

Every 5 km there is a refreshment point (km 5, 10, 15 and 20) where you receive drinking water.

Half Marathon Medals, Awards Ceremony and Rewards

Each participant who reaches the finish line will receive a medal, including all of our children. The top 10 runners of the half marathon will also receive a cash prize.

Showers, Changing Rooms, and Toilets

Changing rooms, showers, and toilets will be available for you at the "Route du Vin" Village.

Kids

Children participating in the Route du Vin remain under the full responsibility of their parent or guardian at all times. Please note that participation is at your own risk, and you must ensure that you are able to take part safely.

Environment

The organizing team strives to run the Route du Vin in an environmentally responsible way. Please help us avoid litter by using the trash bins provided! At the finish area and in the trail village, please do not dispose of waste outside the designated refreshment zones.
