NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Rules of the National Half Marathon Championships

​

Date and place: Sunday, September 24, 2023 in Remich

 

Exact distance: Half marathon (21,098 km) course approved by AIMS

 

Organizers: UrbanTrail de Luxembourg a.s.b.l. + City of Remich + FLA

 

Registrations:

Nominative registrations must be sent by the club by Monday 18 September 2023 at 24h00 to the organiser: UrbanTrail de Luxembourg a.s.b.l. e-mail: contact@routeduvin.lu with a copy to the federal secretariat of the F.L.A., e-mail: inscription@outdoor2022.fla.lu

The registrations are definitively closed 24 hours before the beginning of the championship.

​

Besides the registration through the club, the athletes are obliged to register individually according to the modalities defined for the race in question with the organizer.

 

Qualification: 

Only male and female cadets, juniors, hopefuls and seniors with a valid competition licence are allowed to compete.

The title of champion can only be awarded to athletes of Luxembourg nationality. The 2nd and 3rd places on the podium are subject to this same condition. When in these categories, the athlete ranked first is of foreign nationality, he/she will be awarded the title of "champion of the federation". The same procedure will be followed for the 2nd and 3rd places on the "open" podium.

 

Dress:

Athletes must wear the approved uniform of their club, the number and the chip is given to them by the organiser.

​

Athletes with an individual FLA licence must wear a neutral outfit without advertising.

Rankings:

   a) An individual classification is established in the men's and women's category.

​

   b) A men's interclub classification is established by adding the 3 best net times.

​

   c) A women's interclub classification is established by adding the 3 best net times.

​

In the above-mentioned interclub rankings, athletes of foreign nationality are taken into account.

The establishment of the interclub ranking only if the following condition is met:

for the categories Espoirs/Seniors, the athlete must be affiliated to the F.L.A. for at least 1 year.

​

In order to be eligible for the title of interclub champion, the team may only include one athlete of foreign nationality, provided that he/she meets the above conditions.

 

Call Room: 

Athletes registered for the National Championships must confirm their participation to the Call Room at the latest 45 minutes before the scheduled start of the race.

​

Liability:  The organiser and the Luxembourg Athletics Federation decline all responsibility in case of accident, illness or theft that may occur before, during or after the race.

 

Refreshments: 

Refreshments outside the special refreshment posts are not allowed. The waste areas provided by the organizer must be respected.

 

Miscellaneous: 

Athletes registered for the National Championships are allowed to start in a starting block behind the elite.

 

Complaints: 

Any complaint concerning the result or the course of the race must be addressed on the spot and in writing to the federal referee of the championships within 30 minutes of the official announcement of the result.

​

All other complaints must be addressed in writing to the F.L.A. within 15 days of the event.

 

Data protection: 

The personal information provided by the participants will be used by the organiser and the F.L.A. exclusively for the purpose of drawing up the start and finish lists.
